problem is, you don't need boost in a gti to break the box

If it were me I'd just be buying the uber box for it before boosting.

Or buy a stronger car.

im not going to be running uber amounts of boost anyway so if i treat my box nice it should do ok....

How many boxes did psi gti go through? 7? 7x$200=$1400. Now how long did it take for those 7 to break? That's what you gotta work out. Can you save up $3000 quicker than it would take to blow up $3000 worth of boxes? If you could then I'd buy the expensive box.

BTW I spent the better part of $10K on a gearbox, $3K is cheap for peace of mind IMO.

Tom was along younger and dumber when he owned PSIGTI so that helped out with the gearbox tally.

Has much changed? Besides he earns enough to replace 2 gearboxes an day.
