what would be a good laptop to buy?

stay away from toshiba and acer. not too sure how they cope with games, but macbooks seem pretty fukn awesome.

send kim a pm/message and see what he thinks. hes a good nerd like that.

Alienware really are the bomb but as you say they are over the top and tend to pretty pricey for what they have in them. Macbooks are getting better in terms of gaming power but a lot of games won't run on them. I have a Toshiba Qosmio. It can play anything out there and it has really good sound. But it's pretty big and battery life is crap. I always have it plugged into power. Good for LAN's.

ok so, been a few weeks, ended up canning the whole female trying to buy anthing other than a dishwasher or a sink thing..

love having mates spread over the MEAO (middle east area of operations)
i put 2 mates on the trawl who are currently on a canadian air force base in Dubai, i transfered 3k into there account and asked them to go trawling.

what they cam back with was impressive, currently en route is:

HP. quad core t9600, 2 x 500gb sata drives, 4gb DDR3, 1gb NVIDIA 9600m, 18.5" screen, 64 bit vista with windows 7 upgrade.
Speakers, mouse, and headset

not bad at all since they transfered $500 back to me.
now we'll see wat it can do

I have 64 bit vista, some suzuki don't like it. I know diablo 2 has a suzuki every now and then and I have to reload the saved game.
